Nutrition and Environment declaration
The Group “Nutrition and Environment” of the Italian Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology focuses its attention on the biochemical and molecular mechanisms with which various nutritional factors exert their bioactive roles, epigenetic and nutrigenetic effects, and potential protective effects in the prevention of several metabolic human diseases. Other topics include the study of environmental xenobiotics and their properties, by-products, and food waste in the context of sustainable food systems.
