The Puglia-Basilicata-Calabria Interregional Section of the Italian Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology is a community of researchers, academics and students who share a passion for the exploration of the biochemical processes that underlie life. Through a variety of initiatives, it is intended to achieve a number of objectives including: - promotion of scientific research by supporting high-quality research in the field of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and encouraging collaborations between researchers in our regions and beyond; - dissemination of knowledge by promoting the exchange of ideas and scientific results through periodic meetings, conferences and workshops; - training and professional development by exploring innovative teaching methods and promoting the recruitment and exchange of young researchers; - involvement of the local community by committing ourselves to raising awareness among local and regional communities in the appreciation of biochemistry and, in general, of scientific research as the main driver of cultural, social and economic development to face the local and global challenges.
