The Italian Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology supports and follows research in biochemistry, biotechnology, and several applied bio-molecular sciences. All SIB members are active in research and are part of labs operating in the Italian Universities and in related research institutions.
All the experimental activities run by SIB members rely on intensive use of biochemicals, lab instrumentation and advanced hardware installations. In this respect, collaboration with hardware and reagents providers have been a constant commitment of SIB, through direct contacts and through the information activity that can be achieved personally and in the occasion of SIB National Congress, of Regional ang Scientific Group Workshops.
Patronage of scientific activities (e.g. sectorial Workshops, or joint activities together with related Scientific Societies) can be provided by SIB upon specific and motivated request. Many forms of collaboration, patronage and sponsorship have been exploited over the years, with mutually satisfying results.
